Mushroom Makers In-Person
This hands-on program is for children ages 5+. Get messy and discover the magic of mushrooms with mycologist Lizza Bixby! Kids will learn how fungi can grow on everyday materials like cardboard, turning waste into something wonderful. Participants will explore the basics of how mushrooms grow and why they’re important to our environment. Each child will start their own mushroom-growing project to take home.
Space is limited and registration is required. Enter the child's name and age when registering. If you need to register multiple children or for more information, contact Jen at jdickenson@polklibrary.org.
Please note: Three no-shows or cancellations without 24-hour notice in a 6-month period will result in being placed on a waitlist for program registration.
While at PCPL, children age 9 or younger must be accompanied by a caregiver. Children age 7 or younger must be directly supervised at all times. Caregivers are asked to attend this program with their child(ren) to assist.
